Default 2004 transmissions

There was a story on CBS late news ( in NY) last night about Ford having
serious problems with shifting into reverse on 2004 Explorers. Sounds like
some units ( they said up to 10% of production) can hesitate up to 5
seconds before clunking into reverse or back to forward.

Has anybody heard anything about this?

Sy Cohen
