Default ID Powerglide Tranny please, may be 4 sale

It is a Powerglide, likely out of a 1953 Belair. I'm told it may work in a
Corvette also, I'm trying to learn what it is.

It has stampings on it, looks like serial numbers only.

GM 8
B239
3 42348
3709096
3744725

Various locations, on the body of the unit. I have photos if interested.

Please email, remove nospam from addy.

Thank you!
