I have issue's with RR too. Since I've switched to a newsreader I
still go back to Google groups via my browser once in a while.Unless
I'm doing somethin wrong messages appear first in google groups!

I'm using a free newsgroup server. It doesn't allow binaries but you can
post and read text. Try it out, it's better than Google, IMHO.
Just enter nntp.aioe.org in your ng server field, no username/password
required. Here's the webpage if you need more info.

Your welcome. I see The Merg is still using Google so I'm gonna ping him.
I know Google is difficult to navigate and I'm sure he'll like
Thunderbird better.

Yeah, I'm still using google groups on the ibook, haven't gotten around
to using the aioe on my desktop, but I have the link open in a tab, I
just have to get a few minutes to do it. I should be good to go
sometime tonight, barring any unforeseen complications.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.

Umm...so I got Thunderbird for the Ibook, set up the newsfeed, and
tried to post...but I got an 'address not found in internet syntax'
message. What gives?

Oh, and I can read stuff, it just won't let me post. Do I need to
change the settings somewhere, since it won't allow binaries?

Very likely you are trying to post in HTML. I am still not 100% sure I
have thunderbird posting in text only....

I would try 'tools', options, composition, general and send option and
put the text only site's address in the box shown for it.
