.... and even then it was "California 'major'"; we'd get worse rain back in
Indiana where I went to school in the many summertime electrical storms.

Yesterday (Monday, 1/17) the National high temperature was in Woodland
Hills, 20mi from my house.

Sheee-it. Hasn't been that warm *here* for a week. Only got up to 10
one day over the weekend. Otherwise, single digits, both positive and
negative.

damn you and your 80 degree days!

I was stuck walking home with zero degrees F on the thermometer, with a
goddamn Volkswagen with a bad starter in a parking lot far far away!

What are you laughing about? I've been to NJ. In fact, I've turned
down a job there - simply because it was ****ing cold there.

Obviously you've never lived some of the places I've lived - Pittsburgh,
Cleveland, Dearborn (but regularly traveling to Raco) - NJ is actually
fairly temperate by comparison.

Yep... For example, it's 14* here in South Jersey, but in Southern Maine
it's -14* right now. and in Waterbury, CT (mid-CT) it's 1*. NJ isn't too bad
as far as winters go, and the winter doesn't last all that long here. Hell,
last week it was just shy of 70* one evening!!
