front suspension vibration
I have a 2001 156 1.8TS.
When cold, there is a nasty vibrating sound coming from the front offside suspension around the area of the engine compartment bulkhead. It seems to go away once you get going. What is the likely cause of this - worn suspension bushes? It seems to happen even when standing still. any ideas? Being serviced next week anyway but just wanted some idea of what it might be. Hi John
This may be a long shot, but if it is more of vibrating knocking noise get the engine mounts checked out if it making the noise on idle. I had mine replaced after just 8k miles and 8 months which helped the noise. After that, I had the anti-roll bar, struts, mounts etc changed, which got rid of the noise completely.
