Default diesel Land rover

Hi,I am looking for ideas for an interesting diesel engine to drop
into a land rover. Maybe the new generation of one of the v6's, is'nt
there an aluminium one about. Any suggestions please or maybe someone
has done it already.

Thanks

I would try to get hold of one of the Isuzu/Land rover engines made for
the Australian market.
Japanees quality might more durable then most of the Italian diesels
made for Land rover in the last decade.

It is just an Isuzu 4BD1 3.9l direct injection diesel, I had one of them and
it was a great motor, loads of torque. If I could I would get the turboed
version.
