BMW Z3 2.8 Key type?
Hi,
Can someone please tell me whether the standard key for a circa 1998 BMW Z3 2.8 convertible is an "all-in-one" with the button for the alarm part of the actual key? Some 7-series BMWs have this "all-in-one" key, and some have seperate alarm buttons. If they don't come as standard, how easy is it to get one for my (future) car? Please advise. Thanks. John |

The key for my '97 2.8 just has a light. You have to use the key in the lock to engage/disengage the alarm. > > If they don't come as standard, how easy is it to get one for my (future) > car? Do a Google groups search for: z3 alarm remote. Then sort by date and you'll see a recent thread discussing the Z3 alarm system, and adding a remote. -=- Tom |
