Nice recommendation - I am with Esure at the moment and want to add my
fiance, but they won't let me - 2.0JTS 156 is group 16 and they won't insure anyone under 30!! Confused.com found me a quote at £420 for both of us - cheaper than esure just for me! Just had a similar problem. I swapped my 1.8TS for a 2.0JTS and my existing
insurer refused to accept a "change of car" request as the car had gone up from group 13 to 16 - and they only insured cars up to group 15..... I eventually got a good quote from NorwichUnionDirect (they "quoted me happy!"), but since then, I've tried a quote from a new site "FirstAlternative.com" that are advertising heavily and they are even cheaper. - I could have got my 2.0 JTS covered with them for just £340! Very interesting, I live near Manchester and just added my wife to drive my 53 plate 156 1.9JTD - group 14 (tell me if I am wrong) she is a brand new driver (just passed her test) and under 26 where I am 28 (just) and I got insurance for us both for 500ish. Some insurance companies would not sniff at us becasue she is a new driver - some were quoting 1400-1800 most were around 900ish... I tried a site that allows you to enter your details then goes off and searches all the online insurance sites for you and compares the prices... alas my information is uslesss 'cos I can neither remember the web address of even find it again... I think I googled somthing like 'cheapest UK insurance search' ... Sorry Domestos, Domestos |
