Default 1973 THING - what is the ground? Negative or Positive battery terminal?

Hey gang,

NEW 1973 THING owner here - came without a battery (it ran but the
owner wanted the battery - who knows?). Question is, this guy painted
almost every square inch of this car INCLUDING the battery cables! I
can't tell which cable is which color! So which cable is the ground? I
know - "the one attached to the car's body", but which post on the
battery does the ground cable go? Negative? Positive? Thanks!

- Darren
