Not sure why that is significant. Are there really individuals out
there that want to try iracing, yet haven't been able to due to the
current "invite only" status? iracing is targeted toward enthusiast
simmers, who likely know all about it and have already tried it out.

Yes. Many... Up to now it's been a controlled roll-out.

Also, during the summer season, a lot of potential players are spending
more time outdoors because of nice weather, although since I live in
southern California, the weather never gets bad enough to create a
society of shut-ins the way it does elsewhere during the winter season.

Just trying to give the facts in an area that seems bathed in
mis-information.

And don't think I'm an iRacing Fanboy. While I like and appreciate the
service, and have for several years now, I have my share of gripes with it
and I assure you, the Dev's are probably tired of hearing from me. But,
that's what will make it better. I will continually remind them of what's
not right until they fix it.

That's interesting to hear Larry and I'm glad that you are as vocal for
change/fixes as you are at promoting !

I must admit I thought for sure you were a paid promoter based on the
frequency and um, determination of your postings.

Please continue to update the rest of us as things change with iR --- I'd be
interested in knowing when the Pitting functions work; as well as the pace
car, restarts, those sorts of things. Can I assume I would find that info
here - when and if iR gets to that point?

I'd also like to know the number of new joiners if that is possible. I was
given the information that there are approx. 3,500 'registered' drivers....
would you be able to confirn that number and would it be possible to let us
know how the numbers change as the roll-out to the "general public" goes
forward?

Thanks in advance

I wish I knew those numbers. They seem to be held tight to the vest right
now.

As for major feature changes, I'm sure one of us will report them here

I realize it's been a "controlled roll-out". But I also feel that
anyone who wanted to get in could get an invite without too much
hassle. I just don't think there's alot of people out there wishing
they could try iRacing, yet locked out due to the exclusive
availablity of it. So... I don't expect much of a surge in sign-ups
on the 26th. But only time will tell...
