Default 94 accord oil pressure light (sending unit???)

im driving a 94 honda accord LX. just the other day the oil pressure light
lit up when i was sitting at a red light at idle, after about 20 minutes of
driving in town. when i hit the accelerator, the light would turn off.
then after another 10 minutes the light flashed until i turned the car
off. im thinking it might be the oil sending unit, but i really do not
know....any ideas where that might be? and how much it would cost for a
new one? if thats not the problem, any ideas of what else it might be?
any help would be great, thanks a lot.

Could be the sender unit, but it could also be low oil pressure,
considering the light came on at idle when warm.

It would be very unwise to continue driving this heap until you ascertain
your actual oil pressure. If you do replace the sender, do it immediately.

I do believe that in your car the pressure sender is immediately above the
oil filter. A new one is about $20-$30 or so.
