I like the bigger tires and the rear differential locking. It's half for mild offroading and half because I like the beafier look. If you plan on doing any off road driving the TRD package is very nice.
Although.....I've heard that you can buy a NON TRD truck and just ask them to swap the TRD rear axel with the locking Diff for very cheap.
