Default 2004 Sebring - Onyx Green Paint

Just noticed today...I have a few "spots" that have shown up in the onyx green
paint on my 2004 Sebring LXi. These spots are cracked through the surface in a
circle pattern with some cross-cracks within the circle. Some of the spots
have paint flaked completely off down to the primer. It's the strangest thing!
These spots are on the roof and trunk and about the size of a pencil eraser.
It's possible, I suppose, that it could be from some chemical or bird
droppings. But, I'm not aware of the car being in any location where it would
have been subject to any caustic chemicals (but does get hit by the birds a
lot). We don't have any problems with the paint on the wife's 2003 steel blue
Stratus or the 1997 white Grand Caravan though. In fact the Caravan's paint
still looks showroom new! Any one else had problems or seen this with this
particular color paint?

We did have a 1997 lapis blue Neon (it was a bright color resembling the
Crayola crayon color "periwinkle") that had this "spot" problem. The paint
just eventually peeled off in big sheets. I'll probably have the dealer check
it out when it's in for service.

I'd bring it in ASAP before they come up with an excuse of why its your
fault.
