Default 147 Motor Control System Failure

They just know donıt they. This motor control system thing started the
morning I was taking the 147 in to get the clutch checked out. The garage
takes the car out for 2 test drives and will the clutch play up? NO IT
WONıT!!!!! I Get in the car to come home, 2 minutes later the clutch plays
up. I put a message up on this board about the motor control blah blah blah
and the thing fixes itıs self. The carıs possessed I tell you.

(how about you turn off html/mime? This is a newsgroup, not an email.)

Ha - I reported the dodgy clutch on my 147 (intermittant, would judder
on pulling away or manouvering slowly) to the garage several times.
The first time they gave me a lecture on how to drive an alfa (more
revs! But I had a Cinquecento Sporting before the 147, I know how to
rev an italian engine.. :-P ). When during a service (a year later,
probably) it happened to go wrong for them, they replaced the clutch
immediately (well, they had to get the parts in, of course) without
question.

I've occasionally seen a 'CAN Check' message momentarily on the
display on starting up, nothing worse than that. So shhhh! Don't
go giving it ideas!

dom.
