Default 97 ford explorer dome lights ?

Hi,
I have a problem with my dome lights. They just quit coming on when i
use my remote unlock, lift door handle or open any of the doors. They
still work manualy though. I checked the fuses already.

This problem just started since i had it serviced yesterday. The tech
installed a mass airflow sensor. He must have disconnected the battery
because memory was lost to my radio clock.

Any ideas what the problem might be?
The service shop where i brought it says its not thier fault.

Thanks in advance...

I just found out the problem is even worse then the dome lights. Front
and back wipers not working..rear defrosters not working, The switch to
4 wheel drive isn't working. Cruise control not working.....They must
have fried something on this vehicle at Aamco...Memory card? Ecm?

Any thoughts?

As I recall, all those functions are performed by the GEM computer. Perhaps
you can get a reset by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and
reconnecting? Good luck.
