Hi

Can anybody tell my, where is the starter located in a Mercury Cougar
'93. Or just send a link with a engine picture.
My car makes a clik, when a try to start it, and it doesn't start.
I belive that is the starter, but I'm not sure.
Any opinion is welcome

Thank you
Cornell

Proper diagnasis is important here. Some of those, and I believe you
have one, have a standard fender mounted (ford type) solenoid that
feeds another located on the starter (if the positive battery cable
goes to the starter as opposed to the underhood solenoid) If thats what
you have make sure the one under the hood is doing it's job before
changing the starter. Also check the hot cable at the starter end for a
good connection as well as the battery connections. Many things can
cause what your describing so don't just start throwing parts at it
that you don't need. Good luck.
