Portrait of a bad driver
1. Doesn't know how to use the rear view mirrors
2. Thinks a certain number over posted is the safest speed rather than the flow speed. 3. Doesn't know/understand KRETP concept 4. Doesn't know what 'go with the flow' means. Gee, that sounds like someone we all know and abhor. Harry K |

Unfortunately true. As they taught me in driving school, accidents caused by LLBs tend to be behind the LLB rather than include him/her. |

As they taught me in driving school, accidents caused by >LLBs tend to be behind the LLB rather than include him/her. I have not been involved in any such accidents. Period. Nobody has tried and failed to avoid me in any such situation, period. I'm not the cause of anyone else's accident, period. Try and spin it any way you want, but you're wrong. This way I choose to drive is to minimize risk to myself first, and others second. It has succeeded in every case. Period. Now, jumping out in front of people to hold them up, to keep them from LLBing on one's left rear - I don't know that you could do that for 40 years and not cause an accident, even if you didn't get written for it yourself. Its definitely a higher risk than just being in the left lane, and letting anyone that wants to go faster than my already somewhat-dangerous-to-my-driving-record speed go around on my right, do so. There's a reason I haven't bled all over the highway, and I think the main one is that I'm _DAMN GOOD_ at visualizing things that could go wrong, and preventing them. Being an overall pessimist, I expect the worst things to happen. Then I make sure I'm not in a bad position if they do. It works. Nobody's been hurt on the highways because of me. DPH |

As you've demonstrated, you're not the most observant of drivers. > Try and spin it any way you want, but you're wrong. Nope, he's absolutely right. > This way I choose to drive > is to minimize risk to myself first, and others second. Isn't it interesting that your actual behavior is in direct opposition to your stated goal? Improper driving does *not* minimize risk to you or anyone around you. Driving properly, if you would ever try it, would indeed minimize risk. > It works. It's a kludge that just makes things worse for *everybody*. > Nobody's been hurt on the highways because of me. Again, that you know of. -- ~/Garth |"I believe that it is better to tell the truth than a lie.
