Default Dependable Auto Movers ?

Hi ,

Has anyone ever had a vehicle shipped with Dependable Auto Movers ?

Their website is http://www.dependableautomovers.com/

They gave us a quote of $ 545 to have a 2001 Miata sent from Pennsylvania to
Arkansas , said it usually takes 3 to 10 days for pickup and approximately 3
for delivery.

Thanks ! George

It's been over three years now, but I'm pretty certain this is the same
company that shipped my '95 miata, my wifes four month old Honda Accord and
a couple of our other cars from New Jersey to Wisconsin. To cut a long story
short, when they arrived at our place in WI my Miata had a very badly bent
muffler/exhaust and a badly scraped rear bumper. The Accords hood, wiper
arms and plastic cowl (I think thats what you call that piece of plastic
across the bottom of the winscreen) was covered in small round shaped
discolorations, and the cars were splattered with some kind of red soil or
clay. When I asked the delivery guy what the hell happened he said he was
only a sub-contractor and I should call the shipping company. I called their
insurance/damage claims deptartment and although they had me jump through
some hoops and my contact was not the friendliest guy, he eventually
authorized me to get the repairs done. The other two older cars which I did
not care about much came back ok...typical.

Even though they agreed it was their fault, I still ended up having to pay
the deductable on all the repairs that needed doing, which I think came to
approx $300.

Repairs we new muffler, and repainted rear bumper on Miata. New cowl,
wiper arms and body shop having to use various solutions to buff out the
discolorations on the Accord.

Bottom line is inspect when they come to pick up, and inspect even more when
they deliver OR keep looking for another company OR save yourself some money
and drive it down yourself over a leisurely couple of days.

Good Luck

We used DAS to ship a Lexus from Seattle to LA without any major problems.
It did take them a little longer than promised. However, I do agree with
some of the others. Take lots of pictures and inspect the vehicle very
carefully both before and after shipping.
