Default New 147 recall

Further to my (rather muddled!) question about the ease of changing
sidelights on a 147, I've picked up mine from a service to be told it's had
a recall carried out for an ECU software upgrade.

They didn't elaborate on the reason, whether it was 'serious' or not, and
which models were affected - but the blown lamp was only detected by the car
after the upgrade was carried out so this 'may' have had something to do
with it....

I've not heard about a recall, would it be just for the diesel models?

Not sure - all he could tell me was that they were doing it as part of the
service (service schedule had RECALL xxxxx hand written on it). My guess is
that it's not a safety issue hence not a recall in the strictest sense -
rather something to be done when the opportunity arises.
