Default Is Ford still asking for federal "bail-out" money or what?

Every time the TV media does a story on the automaker bailout situation,
they throw up a graphic showing Ford, GM and Chrysler.

Some buddies of mine keep saying that Ford backed out and no longer is
asking for federal money.

So what's the deal? Does ford want fed money? If not, why does the
media keep using ford's logo and making references to "the big 3" when
they report the issue?

Ford says it doesn't need the money right now, but it wants to have it
available in case it needs the money next year.

Ford's current CEO raised a lot of money by "hocking" pretty much
everything, including the blue oval trademark last year, deals which
wouldn't happen in today's climate. Plus, they've sold off Jaguar,
Land Rover, and Aston-Martin, and sold 2/3 of their Mazda stake.
