Default Problems after installing CTS mod

Yesterday, I installed the CTS mod to a fresh and separate installation of
N2003 and successfully logged on to CTS Multiplayer using my old N2003 id.
But now, when I try to log on to Multiplayer using my original installation,
which contains no mods, I am refused admittance, and get the message
"Someone using your key is already logged in." Is this normal? Can't I
have two separate and functioning installations of N2003 on one computer? I
guess I can transfer all my car setting from my original installation over
to the new installation, which contains the CTS mod, but that is not
something I really want to do.

Thanks

I should add----- I can log in to Cars (and CTS) Multiplayer, but only using
the new installation with the CTS mod. I can't log in using my old
installation with all my car settings.

I'd been having the same problems the last few days but I wouldn't
consider a problem that you have control over. I believe it's a Sierra
issue. This issue has come and went over the history of this SIM.

But it's way better then that stinker NSR and that pos gamespy racelist
that they are using.!

Thanks for the info, Niles. It appears to be working--for the time being.
