Default One other question

I have what looks like a vacuum advance distributor, there are two
ports on the actuator, only one is hooked up, going up to the carb,
The other is just open. There are a few other vacuum ports on the
intake, all of which are blocked off, two on the front of the carb
facing straight back, and one on the intake manifold, should I hook up
the other port on the distributor actuator to one of these? i

Very crude sketch he

The skinny hose creates timing advance.
The fat hose creates timing retard.
This combination reduced emissions and also made the car
fairly driveable.

Before you connect it up, suck on each hose and verify that
the distrib advance plate moves to the stop in ea direction.
If not, the vacuum diaphragm is probably leaking.

If you DO use the second vacuum line, the timing must
be set at 5 degrees AFTER TDC. You MUST use a
strobe timing light.

Maybe I should just leave it the way it is for now, maybe even
blocking off the other tube on the actuator?
