Default Lockers for a Cherokee 00'

Is it as simple as plugging lockers on the ends of the axels, or is
there changing the diff, axels etc. from stock to make lockers
function properly?

They are not "plugged" into an axle, they replace a carrier or replace
carrier parts. Most installations you will have to slide the axles out to
get to all of the parts.

Are you referring to manual locking hubs or locking differentials when
you say "lockers".
Locking hubs are the kind you get out of the truck, turn the hub dial
from "Free" to "Lock" to engage the front axle. In Free position, the
front wheels freewheel. Locking differentials are discussed in great
