Default '98, Factory Radio Replacement

I recently, replaced the factory radio with a Kenwood Excelon, something
(###'s). I know that the new head unit has dimmer capabilities when the
lights come on, however, I don't know which wire from the factory harness is
for this. There are two wire harnesses for the factory radio but only one
of them is needed for the power, speaker wires, etc. What would the other
harness be for as there is not a factory amp in the vehicle?

Where can I find a good wiring diagram for the factory radio?

USA Spec makes a factory adaptable cd changer for many factory radios
including an Explorer. Crutchfield.com is a good source for them.
