Question along lines of Joe D. (Rack And Pinion)
'94 LHS. The driver's side wheel is just like it's supposed to be: lift
the front end, turn the wheel and the steering whell turns, too. The passenger's side....about 2 inches of play. You can see, under the intake, where the inner tie rod end comes in and you can see the play at the connection. My question is this: there *is* a bushing kit available for this car. I'm counting on these bushings at the end of the ITR being the source of the problem. Any ideas, anyone done this before? Or, as Joe d saays, is this just for the outer tie rods? |

My answer would be along the lines of Joe D's. Only, if you can SEE the play, the bushings are shot. The split ones, last time I looked, were available from NAPA. They are polyurethane, unlike the factory one-piece bushings which are rubber. -GP |
