Default Brera sales, 159 Sportwagon, etc

I popped into Perrys in Amersham at the weekend to check out the Brera. They
have a black 2.4 diesel demonstrator. Very nice it is too. I asked how many
they'd sold - 12 so far, 9 of which were the 3.2 V6. Not bad at all.

They had a 159 Sportwagon in too. If you're a family man you'll be pleased
to hear it has a decent boot, though a high load lip (so as not to
compromise rigidity too much).

Incidentally, while looking at the Brera I commented to one of the salesmen
that the boot was a reasonable size, nearly as big as an Alfasud's. He said
he'd never actually seen one, only photos. None of the others had seen one
either. Mind you, all the salesmen there were still in nappies when the last
ones were built.

A couple of amusing incidents I have seen recently with other makes,
where someone tried to get something out of the back quickly while
standing in a traffic jam, remind me that a high load lip has one major
advantage: things are less inclined to fall out!
