95 SC2 Starter
Anyone have advice on removing the starter on an SC2 95? It looks
like its secured with 2 bolts.....1 easily accessible from underneath and the other impossible to reach from either side.....Am I overlooking something or do you need to remove the intake manifold and go in from above? |

95 SC2 Starter
I changed mine. After removing the plastic cover, I loosened the
lower bolt(easy so far), then I had a look-see with a little dental mirror & flashlight to find the other bolt from topside. After spotting it, I tried removing it from topside using a swivel extension on my socket ratchet wrench to no avail. Then, using my next approach to the problem bolt, I had a friend, topside, guide the socket onto the bolt head while I was underneath feeding the socket( that was attached to a few short length socket extensions) and going behind, and above, the starter body and that did the trick. No way could I get any other tools I had to get to that hidden bolt head. Good luck. Mike wrote: > Anyone have advice on removing the starter on an SC2 95? I used enough socket extensions to get the ratchet out into the wheel well area, plus a swivel. Ken |
