Default Towing a Honda

Once in a while I see some big motor home towong a smaller car, such as
a Civic, which makes me wonder how advisable that is. I always thought
that a car should only be towed on its unpowered wheels. That's why tow
trucks always lift the front of front wheel drive cars, such as the
Hondas are. (That leaves the issue open for all-wheel-drive vehicles,
of course. ;-) What is the latest expert concensus on this issue?

Here are some of the answers about AWD Hondas being towed behind motorhomes.

Only trick is the sequence, when putting the automatic tranny into
NEUTRAL, and you have to start the vehicle every 8 hours and run it
through the gears to 'flush' some fresh ATF into the right places.Same
for the FWD's with auto tranny.

The easiest solution is to tow a manual car.
