Default 2001 Grand Caravan - Check Engine - P1491

Check engine light came on this morning. Code that comes up is P1491 which
I believe is RAD FAN RELAY CIRCUIT.

I can't find a relay labeled as such in the relay center. The RAD fan fuse
checks OK.

Suggestions on what and where to check would be appreciated.

Thanks,

JKS

the fan control relay is locatd on the front bumper support behind the grill
can't miss it
unplug the connector and look for corrosion in the terminals

It appears to be riveted to the top of the bumper with a heatsink on
top...is this right?

"unplug the connector and look for corrosion in the terminals" says the man
with the small hands

I removed the headlamp assembly to get to it, but I can't get both of my
hands in to lift the locking tab and pull at the same time. Do I need to
pull the whole front off to get at this?

thats the critter and if you were to remove the phillips screws that hold the
center grill on it's a straight shot in to it and i use a new self tapping body
bolt to hold in the new one after i have ground down the rivet with a cut off
wheel
some folks call me hands bear paws
i couldn't play guitar because my fingers are too fat to fit the neck
