95 Dodge Neon SOHC Starting problem
On occasion my Neon will not start at all. There is power getting to the
relay switch....yet no starting at all. After cleaning ALL of the contacts I could think of from the batteries to the starter, including the starting relay(brown wire) it finally started. Until the following weekend...same story, flick the ignition...nothing. Do the on board diagnostic....code 55, end of codes...clear. I tinker around with the wires while my wife trys to start it...you know, move a wire, try it...seeing if there is a short to no avail. Then it starts up for no apparent reason. Someone knows what's up....care to give me an idea? I'm starting to think it's either the PCM or evil gremlins. This is the first real problem we've had with our Neon since we bought it new. my first thought is the solenoid in the starter.

So is there a easy fix for this without having to replace the ENTIRE
starter? Regards |
