No.

Just thought the first part was interesting.

But you're in the UK right? How is it to have everywhere you drive
recorded? Or have they not thrown the switch on that yet? How about that
the non-manditory national ID your government is pushing on you that is
needed to do just about anything?

And if he keeps his hat on, nobody will notice it.

Look, we Americans _don't_ trust the government. Not our, yours, or anybody
else's. The tendancy of government is to deprive people of freedom. That's
why we have 250 million privately owned firearms in the country - so we _can_
resist it, if need be. There was a time, about 10 years ago, when the
government was going around burning down people's churches with them in it
(Waco, Tx.), and laying siege to remote mountain cabins with families in them
and shooting women with babies in their arms (Ruby Ridge) that it was looking
like we might actually have to use 'em for that purpose. But then we elected
Republicans, and people were more comfortable with that - at least they weren't
bent on collecting up all our means of resisting them, by outlawing guns.

The freedoms in this country are being taken away, slowly but surely. We can't
do half the stuff we used to be able to do, such as buy any drug we could
afford, carry a gun down the street either in hand or holster, live wherever we
had the money to buy land since there was no "zoning" concept, and lots of
other things. If I had a time machine, I'd really be fearful of flipping the
switch to advance it 200 years - no telling what sort of slavery the people at
that time may have to endure, and how much the government will be micromanaging
their lives.

Ummm...

Work on basic comprehension a little bit before launching into a tirade,
'K?

When I said "he" I was talking to the guy who made the "paranoid" crack.
If I'd meant that the guy who made the crack had a point, I would have
replied to him with "you have a point", wouldn't I?

So who do you suppose I meant had a point, then?

Well you have to admit that it was an ambiguous pronoun.

You can be paranoid, and it doesn't mean that they aren't out to get you.
Seems like he has proof on video (with audio!) that he should be
aranoid. -Dave

-----------------------------------------------------------

You're making me laugh. Most trusted Bush and swallowed the
brazen, fantastic lies he fed them--remember how a majority was led to
believe by
Bush's insinuations that Saddam was behind 911?

So no, actually Americans do trust the government.
