driving on flat tyre ?
I have a 156 1.8TS 1999. Last night I noticed that the rear left tyre is
flat. There is a tyre centre around 100m up the road - am I OK to drive it that far or must I put the space-saver on for this very short trip ? |

The tyre centre will probably refuse to repair it anyway unless the hole is in the middle of the tread. Even if you don't care about the tyre there is a risk of damaging the wheel. If it was mine, I would pump some air into it then drive it to the garage quickly, before it went flat again. |

How far do you think you were driving on it before you noticed? If it was any real distance at all, IME the tyre is wrecked and you'll need a new one anyway. 100m won't make any difference. If you're sure it's only just gone flat, then stick the saver on, you might save some cash. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) Alfa 116 Giulietta 3.0l (Really) Sprint 1.7 75 2.0 TS Triumph Speed Triple: Black with extra black bits www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk |

I recon I'll put the saver on to be safe... |

Well, in the end I got the wheel off - having to lie under the rear of
thecar and give it a good kicking ! Looks like some little **** has slashed it.. although as its on the inside and I noticed it after driving for about 3 miles, it was probably something on the road. Either way, I need a new tyre ! |
