Obviously written by somebody who secretly wants a new mustang but
can't
afford one. ;-)

Don't you just love all the "experts" there are in newsgroups???

I'll bet Ford will make money with the new Mustang and that's all a car
manufacturer really wants anyway.......

Dear Mr. Trump; Given you can't even own a casino without driving
it into bankruptcy (something even the more primative indian
reservation seems to avoid) I'd suggest firing yourself.

True he takes things into bankruptcy....BUT... he has the ability to
immediately turn things around and be right back on top where he can
afford all the toys... while the majority of us dream and drool.

And the vast majority of Indian casinos don't have to pay taxes, and
they can sell, tax free smokes, booze, gasoline, etc. Our local one,
which began as a bunch of squatters who could not get the government
to recognize them as a tribe, now has a casino, Hilton Hotel (I keep
watching for Paris; ), a 7/11 type store/gas station (which can't sell
booze because they built it too close to a church... LOL), and last
year gave away something like $4 million to local charities, etc. They
do not appear to have a gaming commission looking over their shoulder,
or any other governmental agency. The infighting has gotten so bad,
they are kicking out (disenrolling) families who were once on the
council.... less people, less split.

On the other, The Donald, has governmental watchdogs, taxes, taxes on
what the casino sells, etc etc etc.

By the way, something like $4 Billion still goes to reservations from
tax dollars for their schools, medical, etc, and they have no offset
from what they rake in.

The performance of the new Mustang makes up for a whole lot of ugly,
IMHO. What's really great is that the car isn't ugly.

I've owned Mustangs since my first 65 FB in 1970. I happen to like
them, though I've had other makes I have also liked. As for styling,
that's a personal thing, too. While you may not like it, I think, so
far, Ford is elated with the response from the public; both older and
younger drivers alike. I know collectors who ran out and bought the
Bullet retro... and today would trade it in a heartbeat (to steak a
marketing phrase) for the 2005. Then I know many GM owners who
wouldn't touch the later models of Firebird or Camaro compared the 60s
70s 80s or even early 90s. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Personally, I have gone back to the early years, but I'd be very happy
to see the 2005 sitting alongside my 65 FB. BUT... you are entitled to
your opinion.

I normally don't respond to trolls, but in this case, I'll bite.
I think Ford is currently happy with the interest they are getting with
the
new Mustang and that is all that really matters to them. Since you are
a
styling expert, tell us how YOU would constantly change the styling for
40
years and still keep people's interest. I don't think anybody in this
group
will be holding their breath.
BTW, what older Mustang do you own? (A '76 Ghia perhaps?)
