Default Bon Ami for windshields?

I tried Bon Ami on my winshield and side glass. It worked great, but
as a powder its a bit difficult to apply and after rubbing it with a
sponge and water, the residue was somewhat difficult to remove.
Has anyone tried their glass cleaner spray and had similar impressive
results when compared with the powder? Thanks

I just use Bon Ami when it's real dirty and then follow up with aerosol
glass cleaner (it seems to work better than the environmentally friendly
stuff, for some reason.)

I agree about the spray can glass cleaners - even the "off brand" stuff at
Big Lots beats the heck out of Windex

Feldspar, last I knew. Softer than glass, as compared to the silica
(sand) used in, say, Comet, which is at least as hard as glass and
therefore can scratch.

Eastwood.com sells a fine polishing kit that can remove wiper marks and
minor scratches very well. I had some wiper marks on my windshield, and
some "sandblasted" roughness (was like driving with dirty glasses) it
took away very well, and also there were some marks on the passenger's
window (weatherstrip out of alignment). Worked excellent.

Wouldn't use Bon Ami on a windshield if my life depended on it. I use
Amsoil's T-6 and Rain Shield. I love the Rain Shield because it puts a
slick on the glass that hardly needs the wipers.
