Just came back from getting a nail pulled from a rear tyre. It's raining in Sydney today and the roads are also clear of traffic so I pedalled a little hard and made that LSD work a little harder than usual. I paid particular notice to the seating position...never noticed that I was bracing on the wheel, never felt like I was slipping around, and had 40-50mm between my leg and that drink holder when driving...and it only cost $25 to have the tyre demounted and a proper plug inserted from the inside. Iva, IMHO the 99 seats are the worst of the Miata seats if you have any
sporting intentions. The shape's not that bad. Just looking, they look pretty good and in put put driving they aren't that disappointing but the bolsters are just simply too compliant. You lean on them and they just recede, not support. After years with the excellent NA (leather) seats, it's quite disappointing. At 6'2", 175lbs with a 34" inseam (no, not shopping myself around, this is scientific!), I have absolutely no issues with the 08 NC cup holders in the door but, maybe they have changed them since 06, not sure. I know Mazda caught allot of grief for their usefulness and position (and quantity!). Leg room seemed fine to me also. As for the seats, you've got to remember what seats I'm jumping out of (I'm sure that skews me a bit). As far as the seatback bolsters, I'd probably prefer they be closer together but yes Americans have gotten quite 'wide' these days. I like the fact that when you make contact with the bolster, it's firm a-la NA style (firmer, I think maybe). Iva, with some work / effort I'm pretty sure you can convert NA seats into the NB (dbl ck me on this). Nope...pretty average.... Do you drive close to the wheel? I drive fairly straight legged and fairly upright to get the right arm position for me. I've of average size, 6' 4" with a 33'-34" inseam. For reference, here's the scale: Giant = 6' 5" or more. Normal = 6' 4". Midget = 6' 3" or less. -- XS11E, Killing all posts from Google Groups The Usenet Improvement Project: http://improve-usenet.org |
