1994 Nissan Maxima power locks problem

Several years ago, I had a minor side collision with a deer. When I got
my Maxima back from the body shop, there was a weird quirk in which the
power locks would "fight" being unlocked in cold weather, especially
using the key. I could both feel and hear the lock mechanism fighting
me back, trying to keep the doors locked. Often, when a door would be
shut in cold weather, the locks would all lock.

Once the car was warmed up, these problems would vanish, and they never
happened in summer, only when the temperature was, say, below freezing.

Okay, that is annoying, but I've lived with it, and none of the several
places I have taken the car - dealer, original body shop, several
independent shops - have been able to fix it.

Now today, a worse problem crept up. The driver side rear door lock
doesn't lock. If you push the button down, it never "clicks," and it
just pops back up. If you use the power lock button, the other three
doors lock, but it doesn't. Same if you push the door lock on one of
the front doors.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any suggestions of a simple fix?
