Lowest cost per cubic foot cargo space in passenger vans = Chevy Express Van
Looks like, out of all vans with more than 2 max seating, the 2005
Chevrolet Express Large Minivan/Van gives you the lowest cost per cubic feet of cargo capacity ($111). The Edmunds number for cargo capacity is not officially in for 2005 Chevrolet Express Large Minivan/Van, but it is probably almost the same as the cargo capacity of the 2005 Chevrolet Express Cargo Large Minivan/Van (267 cubic feet). Coming in second in terms of cost per cubic foot cargo space, was the 2005 Ford Econoline Wagon Large Minivan/Van, at $115 per cubic foot cargo space. Third, was the 2005 Dodge Sprinter Large Minivan/Van at $116 per cubic foot cargo space. These top three were close together and ahead of the rest of the pack in terms of cost per cubic foot cargo space. The worst performers in terms of this stat were the 2005 Toyota Sienna Large Minivan/Van at $187, and the 2005 Honda Odyssey Large Minivan/Van at $167. Apparently the more expensive a van is per cubic foot cargo space, the more highly rated it is by the auto industry gurus. As a result, if you are the type who will pay extra attention to maintenance and upkeep to compensate for higher breakdown rates, and you are looking for lots of cargo space per dollar spent on the van, you might be able to get away with a good deal in terms of what you are looking for, with the Chevrolet Express Van or the Ford Econoline Wagon. New and used prices for such, could be low due to the high demand for competing high-reliability, high cost per cubic foot of cargo capacity Toyota and Honda vans. http://www.edmunds.com/new/type/mini... tent.num3.1.* http://www.edmunds.com/apps/nvc/edmunds/VehicleComparison;jsessionid=Bm7Yq1dKh7KrGXlGy2wJb WLNNJ6kMp3YbbV8Lb8K2pRYZThFGLZh!-1809044537?styleid=100380720&styleid=100380726&sty leid=100444253&styleid=100392463&styleid=100385037 &maxvehicles=5&refid=&op=3&tab=specs http://www.edmunds.com/apps/nvc/edmunds/VehicleComparison;jsessionid=Bm80M9vvfyvWnHq35m92S hWRFqgK8XTrTKcZ1T8nYxkMMzmQyy7S!-1809044537?styleid=100385379&styleid=100496055&sty leid=100496930&styleid=100467010&styleid=100405829 &maxvehicles=5&refid=&op=3&tab=specs http://www.edmunds.com/apps/nvc/edmunds/VehicleComparison;jsessionid=Bm9M29nv22yxH1Nf51ys8 1Tn5sdTxmB9cng8KcsthbvD0Tx2JTJc!-1809044537?styleid=100396640&styleid=100396646&sty leid=100396649&styleid=100396657&styleid=100454392 &maxvehicles=5&refid=&op=3&tab=specs http://www.edmunds.com/apps/nvc/edmunds/VehicleComparison;jsessionid=Bm949w4Wy6B5WP4C3ZJ5m yLZj5tGbn8Jnm65g8RnvVdGhT57Gw94!-1809044537?styleid=100476951&styleid=100458144&max vehicles=5&refid=&op=3&tab=specs @2005 David Virgil Hobbs http://www.angelfire.com/ma/vincemoon |
