toyota 22re problems

hello i have a 87 toyota 22re fuel injected pickup and im having
problems with it when i start it the motor will idle rough and only
get to about 2000 rpm with the gas pedol fully pressed its driving me
crazy ive tryed everything. anyone had this same problem please i need
help .

Vacuum leak, timing, valve adjustment. Never done it before but I
heard you can spray wd40 around the places you might have vacuum leaks
and if the engine revs up it means you have found the leak. You could
check the plugs too and make sure you dont have issues on one
cylinder...look for oil or excessive build up. If one spark plug is
worse than all the others you may have other issues internally. Maybe
even pull one plug wire at a time while the engine is idling...if you
are able to pull one and not see a difference in the idle then you
have one cylinder not firing.
