Nonsense, I am 6-1 and have the front seats approximately in the
middle of their fore-aft travel. The rear headrests do NOT have to be
removed to fold the seat down flat, just put in the "down" position.

You missed my point - if you remove them, you can get more storage
space. Since they are removeable - why isn't there a place to store
them?
