My 96 still has the original boots as well and that is after 150,000
miles. Not sure what all is difference between the 93 and 96 model
year, but I've got no complaints about boot life on my 96.

The must be somehow different. My 93 has 260000km, the 96 has 240000km. So
the 96 has original shafts and boots, and to 93 is on at least its 4th set,
and needing another. The get identical treatment and conditions of use.
