Turn the key on and crank it after the glow plug lamp goes out. From memory
the glow plugs will stay on after startup to help it run smoother. Also the 3 glow plug in the water jacket stay on to help get heat sooner. As to if the plugs are sticking on... well I guess so but one would need to connect a volt meter and see if they all go out after the engine is warm "MikeyB" > wrote in message m... > Does any own know the cold start sequence for 1997 (VW) 1.9 Diesel > engine from a Seat Toledo SE. > - Engine No: 1Y0698861 > - Spares No: R000570 > - The same engine is also used by VW cars but I'm not sure which. > > From cold: > 1.
