People who claim 'they could build a 400mpg Hybrid' amuse me.

Lots of electricity is required to melt anything, but the least of these is aluminum. Copper melts at about 2000 degrees, and steel is up around 2800. Loads more would be required to refine/melt those elements/alloys.
