How to remove part from jeep
There are two bars that are attached between the anti-sway bar and my leaf
springs on the front of my 1988 Jeep. I want to replace both of these because the bushing are worn out. When I tried to get the bolts loose from the anti-sway bar, even a hammer could not free this piece. Do I need a pneumatic pickle fork to get this job done. Please advise. Thanks |

On my '98 I had to remove the sway bar and place it on the solid
workbench. Two hard whacks with the hammer and the sway bar links came right out. I guess you could also secure the swaybar in a shop vise and whack the links out. If you try to whack them out with the swaybar on the jeep all it does is bounce. nvrpc wrote: > There are two bars that are attached between the anti-sway bar and my leaf > springs on the front of my 1988 Jeep. Did you have to buy two new bolts before doing this job or were you able to
salvage the old ones. Please advise before I start the job. Thanks "Scotty" > wrote in message oups.com... > On my '98 I had to remove the sway bar and place it on the solid > workbench.
