No Aircondition after Pressure-washing engine :(!
I have a 94 Nissan Altima (4CYL manual) which had very good AC. Until
the point when I pressure-washed some oil gunk from around the AC compressor. It stopped working right then. Any ideas? Symptoms: - No blue dashboard light when I try to turn the AC on. - No blown fuse - No click heard (compressor cycling) when I try to turn the AC on. - Cleaned the wire/connector going to the compressor - When AC relay is actuated manually (on an extender cable, fed by separate 12V) the switched circuit draws the current but no cold air. |

With the relay actuated manually, check if the wire going to the
compressor has any power. If yes, then the problem is with the compresor. If not, it is further upstream. Either way, it sounds like it is an electrical problem, and should be easy to locate. |

Probably electrical. But first, make sure you didn't get a bunch of that 'oil gunk' onto the belt driving the compressor. -- Paul Hovnanian ------------------------------------------------------------------ Madness takes its toll. If your blue A/C light operated before the powerwashing event and now it doesn't, then you blew a fuse. I would search the obvious fuseboxes for a low amperage "A/C" or "MG clutch" or "Compressor" fuse. If you don't find it, look in the left and right kick panel areas for a small fuse/relay holder. Some Asian systems wire their A/C systems as if they are an add-on, even if they come with A/C from the factory. Toyota MDT in MO |

You have an open connection to the compressor. It will most likely be
OK after it dries thoroughly. Professor www.telstar-electronics.com |
