1991 ford exploder engine swap

I have a 91 exploder and was wondering how much work it would take to
swap with a 91 mustang. Engine, Trans, and Rear-end. I have already
dropped the truck so I am willing to do whatever just curious.

Hmm. There were no engines shared between the two models, so there's
no sure thing. Are you talking about a V8 Mustang, or V6? Either way,
I would guess that width would be the tight dimension. The Explorer
didn't get a V8 until after a major change that replaced the whole
front end structure in '92, as I recall. And then it was a
challenge. The early Explorers were based closely on the Ranger, so
the problems would be similar. And the Ranger only used the German 2.8
and 2.9 V6's, and perhaps the Vulcan 3.0, all of which are 60-degree
(i.e. narrower) engines.

There are a bunch of V8 rangers running around so it is certainly poss.
