Folks,
not shure if you're talking about the current models, but in Europe there are two versions of the A6 2.5 TDI. Don't know if they are also sold in the US. Both are indeed V6, one with 150/155/163 hp (depending on model year), the other one with 182 hp. Second one is also sold as Quattro. With the new A6 the bigger engine has been replaced by a 3.0 V6 with 225hp, which is also build into the A4, starting late September 2004 (but with only 204hp). The 5 cylinder 2.5 TDI has been indeed sold with 115 and 140hp, but has been retired with the new A6 they introduced back in...err...1997 or 1998 i guess ? Which one are you after ? Hope this helped.
