Default honda stalls on take off

my honda runs fine at idle, and even on a easy takeoff. but when i really
give it some gas it acts like it is a 2 cylinder instead of a 4. and then
usually about 4500 rpm's the other 2 kick in and it takes off.

I believe the fuel filter needs to be replaced.

when was the ignition system last serviced? different amounts of gas
need different spark strength at the plugs - if the ignition componentry
is getting weak, you could be getting weak spark at certain revs.

also check the engine computer for codes - you may have something like a
faulty throttle position sensor, but that's much less likely.
