Did anyone catch Steve Valdez of RROL (Real Racing Online) on Wind Tunnel
Sunday night. They did a pretty good spot on sim racing. Denny Hamlin was
on the show and was talking about his sim racing experiences. I thought it
was pretty cool.

Yeah, all the screens shown were NR2003 I believe, then at the end they
plugged rFactor.

In a way, I guess it's hard to plug something that isn't available anymore
(without a home mortgage at least), but you'd think it would get credit for
what it's done.

Even in 2003 when we were just beginning to hear about video games used as
simulators by drivers the media reporting was always overly vague about
which platform and which specific game. They pretty much universally would
say "Video Game" and rarely expand on that (typical reporting). Even the
interview they did at Juniors house as he ran NR2003 with his either custom
or TSW wheel he/they never once mentioned NR2003 by name. Seemed such a
logical time to at least mention the name of the game the premise of the
story was about.

"Without a home mortgage"? Is a genuine copy of NR2003 that valuable?
I have a full copy with an unused online key that I've barely driven
offline in over a year.

Hmmm....

Followup - there's copies all over eBay for $100 more or less.

Have you seen the prices for used copies on eBay?

It has sold for as much as $150.

New, unopened boxes go for even more.

Yea I checked their website and apparently they are dropping NR2003 and
going total rfactor for the next season. I'm not sure if all the tracks are
available yet but then I havn't ran rF stock car that much.

Jr didn't mention the name because he was already under contract with EA to
endorse their game.

actucally he did mention nr2003, but I can't tell ya during what interview.
The messageboards lite up after he pluged the game.

Speaking of EA. Are they going to sit on NSR until their contract runs out?
