Default Tranny trouble '02 SC2

I just brought my '02 SC2 into the shop last week for broken motor/trans
mount. I have a heavy foot and could feel it. Techs said they also tested
the tranny and found that I needed a trans valve body too.

They replaced the the valve body assembly (failed pressure test), TAM and
lower trans mount. Now the car jerks when I let off the accelerator and I
can feel trans shift hard not violently hard, just sloppy) or feel almost
like it's slipping when I go from 1st or 2nd to 3rd gear (auto trans) , it
just isn't smooth, especially at slower speeds.

The techs said that the tranny will take some time to adjust. How long does
it actually take and should I have to endure a sh*tty ride for a week? I
have been taking it easy on the car since, even disconnected the battery
after 5 days to reset everything and let it relearn, but still no good.

It goes back in the shop tomorrow, but I hope I havent damaged anything
driving 72 miles a day for a week like this. Should they be rechecking the
mounts as well as the trans valve body assy?

Thanx,

Was there any delay in your shifts before? Being an 02 it would seem to
soon to have VB problems. This is the newest S-series I've heard with
these problems. Have you checked the fluid and has this guy done these
transmissions before? If you didnt notice and delayed shifts from D to R
or R to D then it shouldn't have had to learned much if at all. All
gears should have been gone through while parked to work are out of the
system.

No shifting delay before. The tech IMHO is an idiot, scratched up my new AEM
intake pipe removing the PCM. I dont trust his work, having another tech
check it out.

The main complaint was the motor / tranny mounts. I have disconnected the
battery a few times and driven softly to allow the PCM / tranny to relearn.
Tonight I noticed it was a little smoother, although the shifts between 2nd
and 3rd (auto trans) are hard at times even when I gently accelerate from a
red light.

Had the car back in the shop yesterday, they did a complete reset. One thing
that may have messed things up, was I had an AEM intake on at the time. I
have since reverted back to total OEM and they reset everything, so far, all
is much smoother. Perhaps the intake was fooling with the learning process?
I'll drive it for a few days and see.
