Default ghost in the machine

I recently purchased a 1998 Chrysler Grand Voyager LE. 169000km and in
good nick for its age. One poblem that is disturbing is the alarm and
central locking have been going hay-wire of late.
Whilst driving the central locking system activated by itself
constantly, but doesn’t actually lock the car. When the car is stopped
and the alarm and central locking are locked by the remote, the doors
unlock by themseles. Sometimes this is immediate, sometimes I come
back to the car to find it has unlocked itself and deactivated the
alarm.
Anybody out there with any clues?
